William Street Relief Station

Ciorba Group provided the preliminary engineering, final design and construction engineering services for the William Street Lift Station. The project included the design of a duplex submersible relief station to protect residential properties from stormwater surcharge from the downstream combined sewer system.  The design capacity of the lift station was limited to 70 gpm in order to match the existing permit capacity approved by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.  Improvements included the lining and retrofit of an existing wet well, installation of a new duplex pumps, site electrical, and site controls reconstruction.
