US Route 6 at Parker Road Traffic Signal Installation

Ciorba Group as a subconsultant completed the design of a new traffic signal system for the intersection of U.S. Route 6 at Parker Road, in New Lenox, Illinois. The improvement included geometric revisions to increase safety and capacity of the existing stop-controlled intersection. Post and mast arm mounted signals; new controller; and emergency vehicle preemption were included in the design. The signal plans and specifications were reviewed by the District’s Bureau of Traffic Operations.
