Sites I&J Development Drainage

Ciorba Group conducted an alternatives analysis study, and storm sewer system design to drain multiple properties for a new commercial development in the Village of Morton Grove. The 1,100 foot system includes the separation of a public combined sewer system, acceptance of private volume control and detention facility discharge on the private development properties, and routing across private properties and through Metra right of way to discharge into the North Branch of the Chicago River. Work tasks included the topographic survey of three alternative sewer outfall routes, a comparative study of the alternatives routing scope and costs, completion of the storm sewer design of the selected improvement, and permitting with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Army Corps of Engineers, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and Metra.
