Harlem Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation andWater Main Consolidation

Ciorba Group provided preliminary and final design engineering services for the replacement of 6,400 feet of water main and STP funded roadway restoration. Preliminary design work included the water modeling and design of the base scope of improvements, with the potential to expand the project into a multi-municipal supply scheme, adding new wholesale communities to the system. Demand estimation, hydraulic analysis, routing analysis, fire flow analysis, and material selection are included in the preliminary water main design work. This preliminary work also included coordination with IDOT to secure Federal funding for the pavement restoration of Harlem Avenue. Final design work included the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimation for the construction of the project.
