East Branch DuPage River Greenway Trail

Ciorba Group provided preliminary engineering to extend the Greenway Trail a distance of 2 miles while also widening 3.5 miles of existing trails. Federal STP funding will be used to construct the improvement, therefore all studies and reports will be prepared in accordance with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) requirements. Preliminary engineering studies were conducted to establish the horizontal and vertical alignment, indicate the need for any easements and/or right-of-way acquisition and develop preliminary construction costs. Environmental studies were performed to identify contaminated soils and delineate wetlands along the proposed alignment. The study results were summarized in a Project Development Report for review and approval by the County and IDOT.
