I-57 at I-294 Interchange Ramps

Ciorba Group provided services for reviewing structural plans and structural designs, assessing the constructability of the proposed structures, and reviewing erection plans and shop drawings prepared and submitted by contractors for various bridges including a flyover ramp. The ramp is a twelve-span welded plate girder bridge on a curved alignment with a main span of 234 feet that connects northbound I-57 to northbound I-294. Due to roadway constraints, the ramp has large skews and the substructure includes a hammerhead pier with a post-tensioned cap
