Opening Ceremony: PACE Park-n-Ride Facilities Along I-90 (Jane Addams)

On December 18, 2017, Pace celebrated the official opening of the new Jane Addams Tollway (I-90) and Route 25 Park-n-Ride Station with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The second of three Park-n-Ride stations, which includes parking for over 150 passenger vehicles, separate bus turnaround areas, Kiss-n-Ride and shuttle drop-off areas, pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, stormwater management, site lighting, and landscaping. The new Park-n-ride Stations allows the commuters along the I-90 corridor access to the express service network to Schaumburg, Rosemont, and Chicago in less time.

Ciorba is proud to have provided preliminary, design and construction engineering services for the IL 25 Station, as well as the Randall and Barrington Road Stations.  The I-90/Barrington Road Station will be opening in 2018. This station will be the region’s first-ever on-highway bus stop, and will feature a pedestrian bridge over the Tollway, bike racks, improved sidewalks, and 170 free parking spaces. Also, ADA compliant sidewalks Improve the area’s pedestrian infrastructure, connecting the station to adjacent neighborhoods. The I-90 Randall Road Station was open to the public in December 2016.
