Bridge Maintenance Program, Village of Mount Prospect
Ciorba Group performed the inspection, design, and construction observation for a series of bridge repairs, culvert repairs, and channel maintenance for the Village of Mount Prospect. This work is part of the village’s program to maintain the 12 structures they are responsible for. The projects were completed using Motor Fuel Tax funds.
The improvements included reconstruction of transverse and longitudinal joints, repairs to concrete beams using Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer, repairs to substructures, installation of grouted riprap, and replacement of the existing steel railing with a concrete architectural railing.
Bridge improvements included the Williams Street Bridge, the See Gwun Avenue Bridge, the Lincoln Street Bridge, and the George Street Bridge. All the bridges are over the Weller Creek.
